Exploring Powerful Theatre Techniques for Effective Classroom Teaching

This course offers a unique opportunity to explore a range of theatre techniques that are highly effective when applied to the teaching of English as a foreign language as well as a range of other taught subjects. Attendees acquire a range of skills useful for developing a great group dynamic within the classroom as well as a pool of creative ideas to draw on. The course will also focus on various strategies and techniques to heighten effective communication within the classroom.

Objective
The aim of the course is to provide participants with a series of theatre-based techniques that will allow them to teach more effectively by taking a more creative approach. Additionally the course aims to energize teachers and offer alternative activities, strategies and approaches to teaching and learning.

Target group
All teachers who give lessons to children and youngsters of all ages and educational levels (primary, secondary and tertiary). Drama experience is not a requirement for participation in this course.

Location
ISCL (International School for Creative English) is located in the picturesque and seaside town of Folkestone in Kent, England.

Price
£550
The price includes the five-day course, learning material, beverages and certificate of participation. The price excludes travel expenses.

Accommodation
Accommodation in a host family on the basis of bed & breakfast and supper costs £150. It is also possible to book a room in a guesthouse or hotel in the region.

Comenius subsidy for continuing education
