Our method
In the classroom we develop a nurturing environment where students get away from the restricting fear of being wrong. This especially benefits those who, in normal classroom situations, don't fully interact.
We start the day with high energy games which develop inclusiveness and build a team approach. These may involve rhythm, drumming and often have a physical element.
Beyond conventional classroom teaching using project based learning we apply improvisation tools and other techniques developed in the world of theatre training. These approaches immerse our students in authentic situations which necessitate meaningful communication in English.
Analysis, reflection and feedback are part of the learning process.
Subjects introduced to students are reinforced throughout the whole day through our excursions, workshops and activities.
Value of the creative process
-
Involves the whole group with no bystanders.
-
Builds and reinforces vocabulary, provides information, tests understanding, promotes reflection and introduces different points of view.
-
A way of initiating students' ability to express themselves freely.
